I’m not a huge fan of attorneys, but in this case, I think you need to talk to one.
hey, this community was so helpful last time i didnt know how to handle a situation years ago, and here i am all theae years later back on here asking for some advice again on how to handle a certain situation with my kids.

so my mother passed on 20 aug 23 from the big c. i was there when she went.
that was indeed very traumatic.
i won't go to describe it.. dad went 17 years ago so there's just me now.
Punk... I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Stay strong brother.
it's an interesting thought.
if you are an ex jw, presumably dfed, and you see a current jw in good standing engaging in behaviour that would concern their elders, would you pass on that information to interested parties?
do accusations from exes and other outsiders carry any weight?
This is somewhat off-topic, but when I was a kid, I told the elders that I saw my friends smoking. They ended up getting disfellowshipped. I've regretted it ever since. But then again, they're probably better off.
if you don't measure up to the watchtower society ''high standards''... you might lose some ''special privileges'' .
miss meetings...lose ''privileges''.
don't meet the monthly 10 hour ''field service'' ...lose ''privileges''.
But unless you get disfellowshipped, you'll never, ever lose the special privilege of cleaning toilets.
it was an opinion of someone that to be a divorced, single sister i. the organization was the lowest social standing you can have.
why are they dispised?
( what if was a scriptural divorce where husband cheated?
That is not an opinion, Sue. That is a fact.
study article 31.
“be steadfast, immovable”.
11 at times, we might reason that the direction jehovah gives us is not sufficient.
LOL! Blackbeard becoming a J-dub!! That pic always cracked me up!!
hi i want to tell my story and get advice.
i'm a single sister ( in usa) that has been baptized for 20 years.
i came from the world, so did not grow up in the truth and i have no family in the truth -- i am alone.. last year i met a brother & we did have premarital sex while we were dating.
Hello Sue and welcome!
Even if you are reinstated, you will still have the stigma of being a divorced, single sister. I was born and raised in this organization. I understand the mindset. The worst person you can be in this organization is a divorced, single sister.
the twickenham post made me think of this.
i have a few jw family members on facebook and being summertime, their pics of the convention have shown up in my fb feed.
along with their comments about "i wished it would never end" or "what a glorious weekend".
When I was a kid, my favorite part of the assemblies/conventions was staying at the hotel and then lunchtime. When I got older, I liked being an attendant because it required me to be out of my seat and moving. Plus, everyone (including hot sisters) would see my attendant's badge.
embedded in the cleveland ohio convention.
pre covid attendance was always 7k+ this year 4500.. 37baptised mixed bag.
less then half were children.. as far as patience goes, it can certainly help you be a better person when dealing with others but needless to say, this having patience waiting for jehovah is pure b.s.!
I went to the conventions in Cleveland every year up until 2017. The attendance was always between 7k and 8k.
